Liberal Democrat Chief Whip in the House of Commons today visited the Esher and Walton parliamentary constituency to meet with local residents and talk about his role in Parliament.
Paul talked about the origins of the whipping system, the approach he takes to decision making in the Liberal Democrat Parliamentary party, and the great privilege he has felt in holding this office for two years.
Having held a surgery in his own Sutton and Cheam constituency in the morning, after taking questions from those members and friends attending the event, Paul (once votes London's hardest working MP!) dashed off to open a school science building back in Sutton.
Liberal Democrats regularly hold social events and more information is available from info@esherandwaltonlibdems.org.uk
