My name is Lionel Blackman and I am the Prospective Parliamentary Candidate for the Esher and Walton constituency (which covers all of Elmbridge except Weybridge).

I have chosen to stand for Parliament at a time when politics is a dirty word. The appalling behaviour of a number of MPs is not something we can or should put up with. Many MPs with large majorities have become complacent and greedy and that is something we must change.

Lib Dem Councillors in Claygate support local businesses Sat 20th Feb 2010 Liberal Democrat Councillors in Claygate have been working with traders who to identify how best to survive, and thrive, in these difficult times. The 'Claygate Shopping Experience' was launched in April 2009, with a loyalty card scheme as its focus. Since then nine local residents have won prizes of £100 each in vouchers, which have then been spent in local shops.
